The Challenge
The legacy system was functional but struggled under real-world pressure. Key issues included:
- Fragmented workflow: Split screens forced users to constantly switch between patient info, test results, and reports.
- High cognitive load: Dense medical terminology lacked visual hierarchy, causing confusion.
- Risk of data loss: Save states were unclear and form behavior inconsistent.
- Slow onboarding: New staff found it difficult to learn the system efficiently.
My Role
Led the full UX redesign, from audit to interface execution:
- Conducted UX research & workflow analysis
- Restructured the information architecture
- Designed UI/UX in Figma
- Developed a component system for consistency and scalability
